Operations during COVID-19
FALL 2020 UPDATE: Critical Home Repair Program
In late spring, NEK Habitat for Humanity regretfully announced a pause in our Critical Home Repair Program, effective from June 1 to December 31, 2020. This pause is still in place.
Building projects are not occurring during this time to minimize the risk of coronavirus transmission. During this time we are connecting homeowners with other organizations who may be able to assist them. We look forward to restarting our Repair Program in the spring of 2021.
In the meantime:
We are working to update, refine, and streamline our processes and procedures as well as strengthen our volunteer base.
We are inviting new members to our committees and to our Board of Directors --- enthusiastic folks who will join us in directing the future of NEK Habitat.
We are seeking new ways to raise as many funds as possible so that we are ready to help as many homeowners as possible next year. We are grateful to those of you who have continued to support us financially. Your help may make all the difference as we enter 2021.
NEK Habitat is pleased to think that our careful efforts have contributed
to the very low COVID-19 transmission rates in Vermont.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue
to prioritize the safety of
our volunteers, staff, and our NEK neighbors.
